General/ Restorative Dentistry
At Talbot Family Dental we are pleased to offer a range of general dentistry services to help you maintain the health of your smile. Whether you require a filling, need a dental implant, or are interested in dentures, Talbot Family Dental is here to perform the services you require.

Dental Hygiene
(Cleanings)
We believe prevention is extremely important when it comes to your overall dental health. Getting regular checkup and cleanings help ensure the overall health of your mouth and prevent painful and expensive dental procedures. The mouth is the gateway to the rest of the body, and therefore important to maintain. We look forward to seeing you for your routine check up appointment.

Children's Dentistry
At Talbot Family Dental, we offer services to treat your whole family. We know you and your family require convenient and flexible hours to ensure you can get the treatment you desire. It is recommended that a child's first visit be at 1 year old.

Emergency Dentistry
If you have experienced a dental emergency or have received an injury to the mouth, it is vital to get looked at by a medical professional as soon as possible. We offer same day appointments to help treat your dental emergencies.

Sedation Dentistry
Does the thought of visiting the dentist make you nervous? Talbot Family Dental offers sedation options for anxious patients to help make your visit to the dentist less stressful and more relaxing.
Crowns
A dental crown is a cap that covers a damaged tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Crowns are made of different materials. They are used for various reasons, such as protecting a weak or cracked tooth, covering a large filling or a root canaled tooth, holding a bridge or an implant, or improving the look of a misshapen or discolored tooth.

Bridges
A dental bridge is utilized to close or ‘bridge’ the gap that is caused by missing teeth. A bridge is permanently cemented to the natural teeth or implants to replace the missing teeth.
Veneers
Dental veneers are custom-made 'shells' that fit over the front surface of your tooth. They conceal cracks, chips, stains and other cosmetic imperfections. Veneers are one of the most common cosmetic treatments.

Dentures
Dentures are prosthetic teeth that are moulded to custom fit the shape of your mouth in order to replace the missing teeth of one or both jaws. Dentures can either be replacing a full set of teeth or partial replacement of some missing teeth. Full dentures are used when all the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw need to be replaced. A partial denture is used when just a few teeth are missing.
Root Canals
A root canal treatment is a dental procedure to remove inflamed or infected nerve (pulp) tissue from the inside of the tooth which is then carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed. Root canal treatments are designed to eliminate bacteria from the infected tooth or teeth in order to prevent reinfection and save the natural tooth from further degradation.

Teeth Whitening
We know that yellow and discolored teeth can negatively impact your self-confidence. Understanding the causes of tooth discoloration can help you stay in the know about what it takes to prevent yellowing and to ensure the longevity of your bright white smile. We offer in office or take-home whitening treatment options.
Invisalign®â€‹
With the help of custom aligner trays, each made specifically to fit the size and shape of your teeth, and designed to help you achieve your personal dental goals. Invisalign can adjust, straighten and close small gaps. It also allows you to make the changes you desire in a shorter amount of the time than traditional braces! Depending on the complexity of your case, you could complete your treatment in as little as 6 months. But you will start seeing results in a matter of weeks.

Metal & Non-Metal Implants
A dental implant is a permanent replacement for a missing tooth that is surgically placed into your jawbone. Whether you want to permanently replace one or several teeth, dental implants are often the ideal solution. Dental implants are made out of biocompatible titanium (metal) or zirconia (white) that the bone will heal around.
Non-invasive DMG
Resin Infiltration
Until recently dental professionals have had only two choices to treat early stage cavities - using fluoride to re-strengthen the weakened enamel, or "wait and see" if it progresses enough to require a filling. DMG Resin Infiltration is a revolutionary new approach to treat early stage cavities. This technology fills and reinforces the weakened tooth structure more effectively than other treatments without drilling or anesthesia and is completely non-invasive.

Extractions
A tooth extraction involves the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. This is required when a tooth has been damaged beyond repair or has a infection that cannot be treated with an alternative treatment.
Day / Night Guard
At Talbot Family Dental, we are always on the lookout for symptoms that can lead to TMJ disorders, such as teeth grinding, clenching or wear. Over time, grinding or clenching can wear away your enamel and can lead to disorders like decay, sensitivity, and even cracks to your teeth and damage to the jaw joints. To prevent the disorders that result from grinding and clenching, we recommend night and or day guards to protect your teeth, mouth and jaw.

Sport Guard
Any sport can pose a risk of injury to the mouth and teeth. A sports injury can result in broken teeth or damage to the soft tissues of your mouth such as your tongue and gums. At Talbot Family Dental, we recommend that everyone, both young and old, wear a sports guard when engaging in sporting activities. We make custom sports guards to fit the unique shape of your mouth and teeth.

Inlays & Onlays
Inlays & onlays are both dental procedures that involve an indirect restoration to a tooth that is too damaged to be fixed by normal dental fillings but has not sustained enough damage to require a complete dental crown. Both inlays & onlays are constructed beforehand to fit a specifically sized and shaped cavity and with a material that is made to match the colour of your tooth. Once the inlay or onlay filling has been constructed it will then be permanently cemented to the inside or outside of the tooth.
